Recent Reviews
Positives:
Nice staff, clean rooms.
Negatives:
Needed some furniture repairs (where microwave was, door would not shut, white couch cushions seemed old and dirtier than I would like) but otherwise fine.
Positives:
Location and room expectations
Positives:
Great location and super friendly staff. Old world charm.
Negatives:
The room could have been a little cleaner. Knowing that we had 3 registered guests, it would have been nice for there to have been 3 towels for us.
Positives:
Only the doorman (2) were pleasant and helpful.
Negatives:
Checking in the woman was rude, very in accommodating and unhelpful. Upon arriving in the room, there was only 1 bed and a sofa pull out bed, the mattress was less than 2 inches thick. Horrible sleeping conditions for the amount of money charged.
Positives:
The upgrades are excellent and it is convenient to Grand Central and Times Square
Negatives:
The bartender was slow and inattentive
Positives:
The staff was very pleasant and helped every chance they could. I ran the NYC Marathon and got a warm welcome back after the race. The room was big compared to NYC standards, and we love the location!
Negatives:
That we couldn't stay longer.
Positives:
The location was central, the atmosphere friendly, and the hotel was clean throughout. I especially loved the historic features.
Negatives:
No
Positives:
Our room was very quiet, except for the closing of room doors around us.
Negatives:
I didn't like the fact that the hotel did not have a restaurant.
Positives:
Nicely located within walking distance of Grant Central Station, Empire State building, Chryslar Building and other points of interest. Rooms were clean and staff very friendly
Positives:
It was reasonably clean
Negatives:
The most significant problem I encountered was the paper-thin walls. I could hear every word spoken in the neighboring room at a normal volume, making it challenging for light sleepers.
Positives:
Location and price very very good. Staff and cleanliness were excellent.
Negatives:
The only draw back was just a single chair in the room. Not much room but we were not in the room very much, so it was not a big draw back.
Positives:
The room was clean and very quiet for the most part.
Negatives:
While the room was clean there was no vent fan in the bathroom and the AC took three days to go from 76->70. Hotel website mentions a shuttle, shuttle service stopped in 2020. And a $42/night resort fee that was not disclosed on the reservation.

Positives:
staff are polite and helpful
Negatives:
I can hear loud noises from the outside of the room specially at night which interrupted our sleep in 2 consecutive nights and we cant get back to sleep.
Positives:
Room wasn't vacuumed throughout my stay, TV remote was a pain to deal with, there's no waste bin anywhere near unless you go to 2nd floor but overall the receptionist that works from 11am was very helpful, he's kinda Asian in physical appearance.
