Breakfast was not good. Most of the time they would run out and not refilled.

The room didn't have basic things like kettle and mini fridge. Overall old room and amenities. One of the rooms had faulty bathroom due to which water came out and drenched the carpet. Couldn't use bathroom for 1 day. It was very bad to stay with the stink.

The staff we wonderful, She was very knowledgeable on the city and subways. The breakfast was delicious and I loved the small coffee bar. I would stay at this hotel again. Great location.

The room was clean, just old wallpaper in the bathroom and very tight quarters for four women staying in one room. Not a lot of space. Im guessing that space is normal for New York.

The location is perfect and the staff is pleasant and helpful.

The breakfast was below average. Based on eggs and waffles. For someone who has been there for a week, every day the same choice, with almost no choice. A room with almost no daylight, not enough space to leave clothes, especially for someone staying longer than a night or two.

Great, friendly staff, going out of their way to accommodate you. Perfect location. Good breakfast, incl. make your own fresh waffles! Requests for extra towels, crib etc. all promptly honored. We would definitely come back!

We were for 4 nights. We were at the breakfast every morning at 8(so I dont think it was late) and there was not enough warm food for us, the staff was telling us that there is no more left there was no alternative milk for 2 mornings and no waffle mix one morning and staff at the breakfast wasnt helpful at all. Apart from that all good.
Positives:
Room was rather small, but it was mentioned and not surprising. Breakfast added, although, not a great variety, but very much sufficient for the day start. Coffee, some refreshing drinks, porridge, eggs and bacon/sausages, waffles, bread and butter.
Negatives:
The carpets in the room were not fresh, take flip flops with. No disattached shower.

For breakfast, I liked the waffle machines (particularly the strawberry) and these little premade omelets they had.
Negatives:
They were all out of any toppings though (chocolate sauce and caramel) which was a bummer. Also there wasnt a clear traffic pattern, so breakfast was basically chaos. Maybe a separate table for the microwave since it was almost impossible to get to. Also, the sink was small in the bathroom, and the mirror stuck out quite a bit from the wall, so I couldnt wash my face in the sink without smashing my forehead into the mirror and getting water all over the place.

Positives:
You can't beat the location. 1 block away from Penn station. The place was very clean. But the most important thing was the staff. They were super friendly and helpful. We had a situation in our room and it was fixed immediately. Literally we had some coffee downstairs and when we went back up it was resolved.
Negatives:
Maybe the only downside is that the rooms were not very big, which is expected in NYC. I'm not saying I was uncomfortable, I'm just saying they are smaller than in other places.
