I absolutely loved watching guests search the breakfast bar looking for more, and seeing the disappointment on their faces when they realized how pathetic the offering really was. It made me feel just like an executive at the Hilton Corporation. However, as much fun as it was to imagine being a member of the Hotel's leadership team, the best part was walking out the door for the last time.
Negatives:
Dried organic substances dripping down the elevator doors. Though the mystery stains in the carpet made for a fun guessing game. The noise from the elevators next door served as a near constant reminder of what a terrible choice in hotels I had made. On a positive note, I look forward to seeing how low Hampton can take the quality of what they call, "breakfast."

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay (19. - 21. April) at your hotel in NYC (Hampton Inn Manhattan-Times Square North, 851 8th Ave, New York, NY 10019). Despite my expectations of a comfortable and quiet room, I was met with an incredibly loud and disruptive environment that made it nearly impossible for my family and me to sleep. we were located directly behind the lift.
Throughout the night, I was disturbed by the loud operating lifts. Despite my attempts to address these issues with your staff and the information that the hotel was completely booked and that if we would need a new room for the next room we could complain again and be moved to a new room. The noise persisted, and we were unable to get the rest I needed.
I understand that there may be factors outside of your control that contribute to noise levels in the hotel, but I believe it is your responsibility to ensure that your guests are able to rest comfortably and I would expected to be informed that this room is clearly way to loud and that we should decide on our arrival if we want this room or not. I was shocked that we had to pay the full amount for the first night.
I hope that in the future, you will take steps to atleast inform your customers that the only room available is very loud and that you would offer a to stay in the room for at least half the price.

Had asked in advance for an accessible shower. Did not get one. Asked night manager for a room change. He told me for sure in the morning. He lied. Day manager sorted the situation. For a restaurant costing $300/night, breakfast was completely unacceptable.
