Negatives: the breakfast is very basic and the credit ($15,-) is not enough to have a proper breakfast. To know if a late check-out is possible on the day of leaving the hotel is not customer friendly.

Positives: Hotel is located just off of Broadway/Times Square, which was very convenient to refresh before going to a performance. It is also located near subway lines C, E and the 1 (a tad further) which will sufficiently take you across NYC. The room was also very spacious with a lovely lounge to relax on. Though not listed, there is also a TV in the room.
Negatives: Walls are very thin and was woken every morning to the sound of 'housekeeping' being yelled for every single room if not by traffic outside. We also had to request a kettle and there are only a limited number, so I would recommend reserving one ahead of your stay.

Positives: Excellent service throughout. Really comfortable beds. Great location, with lots of excellent restaurant, diner, cafe and shop options near by. We were a little concerned re noise levels as every review on booking.com tends to mention this, but noise was not an issue at the hotel. The art deco element added to the charm of the hotel.
Negatives: Nothing really. For what we paid, we got a great deal.

Positives: An excellent-located hotel with good taste in every detail. Room and lobby were beautifully designed. Also fabulous view.
Negatives: Staff could be a little more active in opening doors when we carry luggage and in explaining about the need of the key card to use the elevator. Most of all, the room lacked a bit in functionality: although extremely beautiful, there wasn't a desk for example or a decent table to eat takeaway. I also felt there could be the offering of hot water at night to make some tea or something.
