nothing worked. elevator ,
GREAT location. Safe neighborhood, close to subway lines, less than a block away from the park, not too noisy.
It was dirty and poorly maintained. There were leaks in multiple places of the building, plus the elevator took from 10 to 15 mins to reach our floor EVERYTIME.
The place looked nothing like...
great location.Right next to central park and close to subway.Breakfast included.
Small room,small bathroom.
location, most of the staff were helpful
put in a room on the 14th floor with only one small lift (elevator). The lift broke down two hours before we were due to check out. went for breakfast then had to climb the fourteen floors. not ideal being 76 yrs old and having a pacemaker fitted!
some good some bad
Great location on the most uncomfortable room I’ve ever been. it was so small that if you want to go to the bathroom at night you must step on your partners head to do it.
Our flight was cancelled and they offered to change our room and charges us with 500 for two nights.
Size of the room, visual, noisy.
The location is great and a very safe area. Hot Breakfast. Very nice and helpful staff.
The room is a little small but that is more than enough for what we needed.
Great Saty. I would come...
location was great!
rooms were MUCH smaller than pictures showed. one elevator was a problem for so many floors of people.
The quality was not worth...
The housekeeping staff was attentive, courteous, and the sheets and towels were in super clean condition. The rooms, though dated and some areas worn out or missing services, were clean. So, credit to the housekeeping team. I needed a fridge and within 30 minutes they were in my room installing it. The evening desk staff, a young lady by the name of Milka or something like that, was top-level professional and knows well the standards of customer service. She was exemplary.
There was a rude young woman upon my morning arrival. The tone of her voice was somewhat impatient, and I noticed that when dealing with foreign-speaking customers she was not as patient or pleasant as when dealing with male, local customers, who were obviously there on business. Unfortunately I had to sit in the small lobby to wait for my room to be ready, and had the chance to observe her mercurial behavior with different customers. She was very unpleasant, condescending and just doesn't belong in the front desk dealing with customers. When I dealt with the much more courteous and professional young lady in the night shift, it was clear what was missing from the morning attendant. She could use some re-training. When we were finally assigned our room, we were so disappointed with the tiny size of the room. I get it. It's Manhattan and space is premium, especially in the Upper East Side, and for $250 a night (deal thru Booking.com) what else can we expect. But you can tell they certainly maximized every inch. While the room, sheets and towels were impeccably clean, the carpeting could have used an update. The bathroom sink was very slow to drain and given our short (one night) stay and lack of time, I didn't have time to tell them. I just dealt with it. There is only one small elevator for the 10+ floors of rooms and it's very slow. Many people prefer to take the stairs. The electrical outlet that fed the TV only had one working outlet, so when the mini fridge was set up, I had no TV. The hotel is overall small. But the location is premium, of course. We only stayed one night, on our way somewhere else, but had I had booked for longer I would have regretted it. Needless to say, I will avoid booking in that hotel for any of my future stays in that part of town.
Convenient for a very short...
