Positives:
The location is great - not on a main drag but super close to the theater district and Times Square.
Negatives:
1) This hotel is incredibly unsafe for solo female travelers. The rooms are accessed by codes, which is just the room number + 0. Any other guest in the hotel would know how to access your room. 2) The water was brown. I had to check-out early.

Complete disaster, checking in. No on-site manager, finally reached someone by phone who told me and two other confirmed guests that he canceled our reservations and had no room for any of us. Three hours later, after much arguing, One got a room.

The fact that they had no room for me when I arrived, myself along with 2 other guests sat in a waiting area looking for someone to help with the situation. No front desk worker, no manager, no one to call except for the maid who spoke no English.

The property canceled my stay the morning of my check in via SMS !!!! I had to find a hotel last minute, can you imagine ? In New York ! This cost me a lot and I got no voucher from them or Booking, no compensation... this was really a nightmare. Luckily my data roaming worked so that I even got that SMS otherwise I would have taken a cab there in front of the property and just waited and have no room, I was not able to call them/ reach them, they didn't call me either. They suggested some expensive hotels as "advice" / alternate accommodation ideas for me, lol.

The location is closer to times square and is within walking distance.
Negatives:
We landed late at night and felt the virtual check in process was complicated. We had booked two rooms. They initially gave us check in instructions only for one room. After contacting the hotel, they gave us the instructions for second room. The area in front needs clean up and looks a bit lonely during late night. There are stairs to climb up especially when taking the luggage
