Positives: Location is central.
Negatives: Reportedly was just renovated, but still felt just kinda old and beat up. The carpet in my room had rips in it. Door to my floor in the stairwell was just missing a door handle. Like it was broken off. Breakfast available at a restaurant in the hotel, for a fee. Not included. No vending options, they had a snack bar of sorts at the front desk that was poorly stocked. Not the hotel’s fault, but really minimal options for coffee/food within walking distance.

Positives: The location was the ONLY good thing about this hotel.
Negatives: The hotel was under renovations, and while I do understand this, it was WELL WELL BELOW any expectations. I was not notified in advance that it was under renovations, I had to be escorted to and from my room each time because the key card system wasn't working. The smoke detectors and sprinklers in the hallway I was in were covered with plastic and would not have met safety standards. The phone in my room did not work, so if I had had a genuine emergency, I would have been screwed. In addition, the whole hotel was filthy. Worst hotel experience I've ever had. I will never stay at the Holiday Inn again.

Positives: A few of the staff were polite
Negatives: Rat droppings on the towels, dirty room no toilet paper holder poor heating bulbs missing, poor ventilation and dirty vents, no drain stoppers and constant noise on floor above

Negatives: It was under construction. The painters were painting in front of my room and talking really loud so i had to request a new room. The next room i received was on the reconstruction floor as well so it felt like i was rolling my suitcase through gravel and dirt. The elevators also didn’t work and my room was on the 5th floor so I had to carry my luggage up and down the stairs which had trash on them. I ended up leaving at 6 am because i was so uncomfortable. I called the front desk the Sunday i checked out and was told the manager would call need back but of course i never got a callback.

Positives: The location to Blue Cross Arena was great, I went to Rochester only to a Concert and this hotel was the nearest one!
Negatives: The walls were too thin, so you could hear the other room quite clear and there was too much dirt but that's understandable because they are repairing stuff.

Positives: Nice people. Quiet neighborhood.
Negatives: Hotel renovation for our entire stay on our floor and other floors so we couldn't move. The staff did everything they could to accommodate us. But they couldn't help the construction.

Positives: Very little; I had a place to sleep and the heat in the room worked.
Negatives: Very little; it was under renovation/construction and I had no autonomy to enter and exit my room without requesting an escort. It was horroblle to always have to walk through the construction area and/or take the smelly service elevation was nor fun.

Positives: The location is quiet and convenient for the convention center. But that's really the only thing that made the experience enjoyable. It's bad. Really bad.
Negatives: The hotel was under construction and the worst experience of my life in lodging. If I'd had a choice, I would have walked out upon check-in. The place is so bad it's almost laughable, except I paid for it. OSHA should shut it down and the company should pull the contract with the owner. Avoid this place at all costs. I've never written a bad review but there was nothing redeeming about this hellscape.

Positives: The locations was convenient.
Negatives: The hotel is in the midst of construction with no separation between areas under construction and finished areas. Halls are blocked off with plastic, elevators were out of service and customers had to use the service elevator which stank of garbage. The electronic key service was out and so every time a customer wanted to go to their room, a security guard had to be summoned to escort me up. This was the case from Friday-Sunday, the entire time I was there.
