Positives:
I loved the beautiful grounds, the comfortable bed, and the cleanliness of the room.
Negatives:
I did not like that the room was very worn. The extra door locks did not work, some of the paint was peeling at the bottom of the door, and the carpet had the kind of wear and tear you would expect from a decade or more of use. But, I enjoyed my stay. This is something that if address would make it wonderful.

The grounds are beautiful, the bed was very comfortable, and being able to watch the sun set over the Hudson from our balcony was lovely. The indoor pool was also nice; I just wish the water was a bit warmer.
Negatives:
My room in the King Mansion was not as clean as it could've been . The Keurig was dusty, there were sunflower seed shells on the rug, and mildew in the shower. Also, there needs to be additional signage at the property. The map the staff provides helps, but it's still far too easy to get lost.

the setting is pretty and the onsite restaurant was excellent- Goosefeather
Negatives:
rooms are dated, a slight musty smell, feels like a wedding venue/convention center from the 1980s. A little remote, but preperty is beautiful. Also the building we stayed in (King building) did not have an elevator was 3 flights!

Location was good. Sufficient parking. Maintenance people were friendly.
Negatives:
Carpets felt greasy. Beds were rickety, propped up on risers. Pretty sure I could hear crawling in the walls at night. Pool was "warmed" but not warm. Too cold for some members of my family. Lots of bugs and hairballs in the area. Food options were decent, but probably 30%-50% overpriced.

Nice, comfortable and the restaurant...
Positives:
We had a Kings room terrace. We brought our own picnic from Stone Barns nearby and ate this on the large private terrace adjacent to our room. Perfect, while watching the sunset.
Negatives:
There was a private event operating below us with music until 10. We should have been informed. Much as we liked the terrace room we would have chosen a different room.
