It was close to downtown Charlotte
Negatives:
The hotel wasnt clean.There are stains on the carpet everywhere you go. The sheets were stained and had to be replaced. The dumpster in the parking lot hadnt been dumped in months it looked like trash was everywhere. The tub in our bathroom had a lot of hair in it. Overall creepy hotel. I had to clean an already cleaned room smh! I should have took pictures so they cant say Im lying but oh well.

The only thing to like about this hotel is that it was open.

Upon entry of the hotel, the carpets are very, very dirty. The walls are dirty, the most convenient elevators did not work. Room doors were very loose and beat up, half of the things in the room were not working (lights, outlets). Def would not return.

VERY dated. Carpeting was filthy. Chipped paint in rooms. No restaurants within walking distance. Elevator out of service. Had to use freight elevator. Room had smell of old cigarette smoke. We booked here only because of the name. My husband has had good luck with La Quinta in past. Will pay more in future. Should have guessed!!!

Good shuttle service. Classic but sparse breakfast spread though available since 5 am so that is nice. Simple check in. The room was spacious and clean, the bed comfortable.

Only one elevator working... Overall the place felt and looked rundown. There was a stale smell in the hallways.

I didn't like how filthy the carpet was in the hallway. My room FIRST room was on the fourth floor. As soon as I got off the elevator is smelled so bad. Hair was in the sink, beds sunken in, ac unit filthy, tub was disgusting. Requested another room, no better. Dusty crown molden, hair on towels, and dead bed bugs in the corners of the room. I had my son with me and refused to let him stay in that room. Immediately requested a refund. Housekeeping left a note saying they cleaned the room from top to bottom. No way!!!!! Probably just remade the bed and put "clean" lining in the bathroom. Left there and will never go back.

The hotel is very old and carries a bad smell, everything is peeling and broken.. There are many stains and the remote didnt work for the tv. The trash was full outside over capacity and there were several mattresses stacked near trash
