About This Property
This hotel is 10 minutes' drive to Central Raleigh and the Raleigh Convention Center. Features include an early continental breakfast and an outdoor pool as well as rooms with a microwave and a refrigerator. Free WiFi, a 42-inch flat-screen TV, and a large work desk is provided in all Wingate guest rooms. Every room also includes in-room movies. The Wingate by Wyndham Raleigh provides a hot continental breakfast every morning. Guests have free access to the gym and full-service business center. Each Wednesday there is a Manager's Reception, which includes pizza, wings, beer and wine. Chocolate chip cookies are available for guests daily in the lobby. North Carolina State University is 15 minutes' drive from the Raleigh Wingate hotel. The NC Museum of Natural Sciences is 10 minutes' drive from the property. The breakfast is nice and staff are pleasant. We were provided our room slightly earlier than the 3pm check in time.
Negatives:
The facilities were falsely sold. There was no indication the outdoor pool would be closed in May and when we arrived we were told the pool was shut as they were waiting for the inspector.
We were also woken up on a Sunday morning to a loud fire alarm. Aware fire alarms can happen but we were not provided any information afterwards (even at reception) and were just left bewildered by the experience and wake up call. This is likely a one-off but coupled with the pool closure this was not a relaxing stay.

The bed was very comfortable, most hotels are like a brick but not these. the shower was overall pretty nice.

the extremely outdated television system. The toilet is extremely loud and kinda funny to flush, the shower head was kinda wonky. the breakfast was subpar, watery tasteless eggs 2 days in a row, thankfully waffle house was walking distance away.

I loved that there was an option for big bath tubs with jets! Made so much difference. I love the breakfast too! Belgium waffles, yogurt, fresh fruit, bagels, etc. Perfect!

They didn't really have much stocked in the front to drink if you were thirsty and the nearest Walmart or CVS is like 10 minutes
