Positives:
A very nice hotel. Even though it is not in the center, the UNC campus and downtown are easily reacheable by bus. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast is excellent.

Wifi requires signing in every time you come back or switch your device back on.

Although I did not have the opportunity to try the breakfast, the staff was wonderful and helpful, housekeeping went beyond what was expected and the room was very clean.

The room was a little dated but overall other things made up for this. Also, I was unable to use my room key to have access from the side door to get to my room.

We were very well impressed. Everything was great, esp the variety at breakfast and how the dining area looked. Very nice.
Negatives:
Not anything. I know this is for what we didnt like but honestly everything was good. From the paper list of smchannels to thr tv to how we loved the access to where we parked to our sliding door out (to where our car was), the very Clean room. The separate bathroom/shower and sink area was great. (Door between the 2).

The hotel itself looks unkempt and in disrepair. For ex, the trash can at the door to my entrance was overflowing for 2 days. A large chunk of ceiling tile fell down in the stairwell and was there (with a wet floor sign near it) for 5 of my six days. The outside entrances are not secured; card access was not required to get in

It was clean and comfortable and convenient to get in and out of the location
Negatives:
It has seen a lot of use, carpets need replaced throughout. Plumbing fixtures are from the 80’s maybe. The water control for the shower is had to pull out with both hands. I felt like i was going to break it, to turn it on. The bed was squeaky and seemed very used.

The front desk staff were very kind and helpful. The housekeeping did a fantastic job on our room each day.
The maintenance man was very helpful and brought a new microwave
Negatives:
The whole place needs to be updated. It has a musty smell. Our microwave didn’t work and our shower drain was clogged. The toilet kept running and sometimes wouldn’t flush The outside doors from the parking lot are all unlocked. Anyone can get in! This is a huge safety issue. Everyone should need a room key to get into the side entrances of the building.
