Good value, very clean, close...

Staff was really pleasant. Helpful. Everything on the staff side was great. Wifi was free and good, only had one outage in the morning for a couple hours. Free coffee and tea, but I will talk about this in the "what I didn't like." The coffee was consistently empty by 10 or 11am, but advertised as 12pm.
Negatives:
No refrigerator, though this was never advertised. The payment after my stay was slightly more expensive (about $12) than what I was shown before my stay. The coffee was usually gone before 12pm. The room smelled damp and old. I'm pretty sure there was a very small splatter of blood on the wall near the towel rack. I stayed in the hotel for 5 days, and housekeeping never came to my room. I saw their work stations in the hallway every day, but they never cleaned or picked up my towels. I had to go down and get my own from the front desk. Minor inconvenience, and I could have asked them to clean my room, I'm sure, but I was told Thursday they would come to my room but they didn't. I think there is a prison very close to the hotel. But also a nice little thrift store. Walking distance to places is not good.

The hotel is not as sold on booking, it's not next to nor connected to the state university nor the convention center, that was a bit disappointing for me. Nothing of interest is in walking distance.
