We stayed at this Red Roof Inn mainly because we could bring our dog, as it turned out it was a good thing that we did, we stayed in this hotel to and from our trip to Myrtle Beach, on the way down, we were on the side of the hotel that was near the main highway, and felt semi safe with no incidents, but on the way home, they put us on the other side of the hotel near the pool, and it was very secluded and we did not feel safe, and when we got up at about 6AM to get on the road when we were loading our vehicle,(our dog was already in the vehicle) a man was walking across the parking lot and tried to start a conversation with my wife and I as he was coming toward us, when we tried to end the conversation, he kept coming at us so I opened the door and started to get my dog out(my dog is a mix of Great Dane, and Pitfall) as soon as this man seen the dog, he did an about face and walked hurriedly away, both my wife and I felt he was going to try and rob us, a very unpleasant experience, also on this side of the hotel you could smell marijuana , and people were standing outside smoking, and keeping the door propped open
