The air conditioning in my room was not working. They knew it and promised it would work. I went to dinner and hoped that it would be working by then. It was not. I had to change hotels entirely with 2 kiddos at 10 pm. They called another Marriot in the area only when we asked. No proactively trying to solve it

Negatives:
We stayed 4 years ago when it was being renovated. They basically painted the kitchen cupboards. We stayed this time in a suite. It was so small. Small bed. Bathroom outdated shower in bath with shower curtain. Kitchen is antiquated old old appliances. Very dark and dreary. Our room constantly smelled of boiled potatoes.

Loved the staff and quiet location - which was within minutes of a grocery store, restaurants and other stores - plus minutes to Arlie Gardens and beaches. The breakfast was good and the one bedroom suite with sofa bed was a good value.
Negatives:
The layout of the room could have been better. The bathroom was off the bedroom so any other guest using the sofa bed in the living room had to walk through the bedroom.
