Letia was so welcoming and the staff was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!
absolutely gorgeous hotel, every detail was well thought out. the room had every amenity you could need and the bed was very comfortable! i will be back very soon
Greeted with a cup of sangria and a glass of wine, a beautifully appointed lounge, spacious and comfortable rooms, beautiful bar and wonderful on site restaurant.
What's not to like?
no free public parking
we wanted to bowl after...
The best part was customer service and the room was clean.
The room was extremely small, no microwave, unless you call and ask for one. No in room coffee pot unless you call and ask for one. There is no breakfast included. You must pay for parking valet or park behind the hotel about a block away for free. Valet is the only thing available on site at $26 a day. The bed is so uncomfortable and the goose down comforter looks like it hasn't been washed lately! I paid for a king bed with city view. Well the view was of the old R. J. Reynolds smoke stack....no view of the city from the 6th floor. And whose idea was it to decorate with a set of deer antlers with a flower for a face over the bed, a little brass fox for a coat hook and a turquoise sunburst off center on the wall....and this room was $235 a night. To top it all off there is no door for the shower (made that way) so water splashed everywhere!
Edited review on 6/27
This morning (Monday 6/27) I noticed I have bug bites around my ankles. They don't seem to be bed bugs but rather flea bites. I have requested a refund as this was a horrible anniversary vacation...best thing was the Charlie Wilson concert and the staff at the hotel!
Update: The Kimpton did not provide a refund of anykind and said that no compensation will be provided. This one day getaway cost me a total of $700 only to have the worst stay I have had in a long time. Kimpton Cardinal is no more than step above a campus door room! You could stay at a Drury Inn and get way more bang for your buck free meals (dinner & breakfast), coffee, tea, & hot chocolate!
This place is not worth...
Beautiful hotel, super nice staff
great gathering spaces
super comfy beds
We love the Kimpton Cardinal...
beautiful, very clean, exceptionally kind and professional staff, great location, fair price
the shower door is made so that it does not close. that left the floor very wet in the bathroom when we showered. we had left over food and would like to have had a microwave in the room to warm it
wonderful stay, enjoyed the area,...
