The Hotel at Dayton South

Negatives: I was sad that the bar and restaurant were closed at 9PM

Negatives: The owner and manager need people skills

Negatives: Nothing

Negatives: It was okay

Negatives: No sign, had yo double check I was on the right place.

Negatives: The fact that they wait to tell you that there is a $100.00 deposit AFTER you've already booked and paid for the room online which they said I would get back in 1-2 business days, my stay was Saturday, it's Wednesday and I still don't have my deposit back!!!

Negatives: Beds extremely Uncomfortable Linens threadbare

Negatives: Our toilet we had to lift the lid and jiggle it to flush

Negatives: Bath towels were VERY rough. Pillows were way too soft. Nightstand had can/cup rings from previous occupants beverage, definitely should have been wiped up. Was charged additional $30 for a senior chihuahua which seemed excessive, and this was on top of paying a higher nightly rate because of the eclipse event. Do parents pay extra for each kid with them?

Negatives: This facility looks new and modern on the outside but it’s very old and in need of modernization on the inside. Straight out of the 1980s. Everything is done as cheaply as possible; from the nobby despicable towels to the old worn furniture.

Negatives: We have had the worst experience with this hotel.  We booked 3 nights with Booking.com and paid-in-full for our room months ago for the solar eclipse event in Dayton, OH.  We drove 10 hours to Dayton and when we checked in the night before, they gave us a room below their mechanical/boiler room.  The boiler was constantly on with loud noise and serious vibrations to the walls and floors of our room.  We could not sleep so we called the front desk and the staff first lied to us and said they didn't know anything but later admitted there is a boiler room above.  We asked to change to a more quiet room but was refused because the hotel was fully booked.  We were given a different room the next day but that didn't help the situation of a sleepless tiring night before.  We were trying to get a refund for the first night but absolutely no help at all from Booking.com.  They just passed the buck and told us to deal with the hotel manager directly.  We asked the hotel front desk staff several times to have the manager call us but no one ever call us back.  They obviously didn't care anything about customer service and have no intention to talk to us after they took our money up front.  A BIG thumbs down for both Booking.com and Hotel at Dayton South.
