Red Roof Inn Portsmouth - Wheelersburg

Negatives: 1 st room the water did not work in the sink. 2nd room the cable TV box had been stolen. Mgt offered to move rooms again, but we declined to move again.

Negatives: A few repairs could be made, the bathtub faucet was loose in the wall, but worked fine. The hotel is located on a 4 lane frontage road adjacent to a 4 lane freeway. With the A/C fan on you could not hear any traffic.

Negatives: As a paying customer, I do NOT like nor appreciate not feeling comfortable NOR being disrespected by a man or owner/operator of the property! When a customer books a room here, that room is theirs until checkout at 11AM!!! Not only did I get very sick and was not feeling well at all on my day of checkout but my spouse and I had just gotten a bad phone call and was dealing with other horrible news right as we were packing to head out. I had an email pop up where the hotel checked me out at 9:44am while I was still there even! Then the wife calls at 10:30 asking if Id checked out yet, which I told her we were packing things up now,getting ready and that wed be out by 11. As were taking a few things out to the car Im watching the husband walk back and forth, back and forth, around the place and peeping in all the rooms. So its 5 minutes till 11, we have the door open and heading out. My spouse is standing there as I stop to put tip money into the envelope for the wife who cleans the rooms as I was also in a phone call which I had on speakerphone in my pocket. This man actually has the audacity to stop at the door and literally start yelling at us about only having 4 minutes left to get out, his wife was waiting to clean the room, asking us if we were serious blah blah blah! So damn unprofessional and disrespectful! Ive never felt so uncomfortable, disrespected or pissed off as I was that day and at that moment! At the same time I have people on the phone, in my pocket, hearing the whole thing! People that also have booked at this hotel that will now never EVER book with them again! Ive always seen him practically every time Ive been there over the years pacing back and forth all around the rooms watching everyone and everything and felt an uneasy, uncomfortable feeling but always overlooked it. THIS incident;however, was ridiculous and uncalled for!!!

Negatives: Not much for a breakfast selection

Negatives: The breakfast was subpar, and this place doesnt allow dog to enter the breakfast area, which is strange because other red roof inns I have stayed at didnt have that policy

Negatives: Very noisy. The toilet was not bolted down the toilet seat was broken. The shower drain was cracked and their was NO drain to keep the water from backing up in the shower and it was full of hair.

Negatives: This hotel was the absolute worst hotel Ive ever seen. From the rude, shady, mean tyrant of a manager when checking in to the unclean swimming pool and run down room with cigarette burns in the bed clothes, smell of mildew in the room.

Negatives: Loud noises . Someone beat on our door really loud at 230am . Then ran away
