Negatives: Felt old and a bit run down. The permanent resident with stuff outside the room and taking up two parking spaces did not help.

Negatives: The pillow had a yellow stain that smelt of urine. And the floor felt like there was sand all over that hasnt been cleaned.

Negatives: Bed sucked

Negatives: no air conditioning and a little dated

Negatives: THE WATER IS DISGUSTING!!!. I would not even brush my teeth with it once I tasted it and spit it back into the sink. I would happily pay 5 dollars more per night for a room. The owners need to invest in a water filtration system, and then spread the cost throughout the rooms for the installation and maintenance of this. It is so needed. The facility needs a face lift. The entire facility needs to be painted inside and out. The cement around the building is needs to be cleaned.

Negatives: The room was FILTHY. Every surface was dirty. The walls, the door, the TV screen. This room looks like it had not been cleaned properly in quite some time.

Negatives: Our garbage was never emptied. I ran out of complimentary coffee and no one was in the office to request more. The place was not very clean. There were people bbqing in the parking lot.

Negatives: My daughter, friend and I stayed at the Newport Inn by OYO on Friday night, August 29, 2025. This was one of the worst motel stays I’ve ever had. The room reeked of stale smoke and some other mystery fumes. There was a burn/tear in the linoleum right in the middle of the floor, and a dirty footprint on the back of the bathroom door. The beds looked so questionable that we went out and bought our own bedding and pillows just to feel comfortable sleeping on top of them. The room was hot, the ceiling fan did nothing, and there were no lamps. The TV was tiny, and there wasn’t even a phone in the room to call the front desk if needed. Outside, it seemed like people were living there — barbecue grills, potted plants, dogs roaming around. One woman spent half the night whistling and yelling, which made it impossible to relax.​ We did not feel safe at all. The only positive was the man at check-in, who was friendly. But for the price we paid, the place should have been far cleaner and better maintained. Definitely not worth it. ​A refund would be appreciated. ​Sincerely disappointed

Negatives: The room was really hot! No AC

Negatives: Very basic room. No place to hang a jacket.

Negatives: We didn't have to deal with an A/C remote.

Negatives: Reception seemed very annoyed.

Negatives: Room was clean but looked worn out. The bed was very hard and the bedding was very old and smashed old pillows. There was a guy using a leaf blower in the hallway at 8 pm to clean.?

Negatives: 1. No ventilation. The ceiling fan can not make it comfortable. There are no screens on the window, so even in the room, you won't want the window open. 2. The bed is like a roller skate. We had to push it against the wall to feel like you could sit on the edge safely. The mattress is decent, but the pillows have absolutely NO business being used. Flat and dirty. Disgusting! 3. I'm pretty sure the floors were mopped with sand. Keep your shoes on. 4. Nowhere to keep your luggage. One small desk with the TV on it. 5. Bring a sleep mask because the security lights right outside the window will make you believe it's noon when you wake in the middle of the night. The window has "blackout" curtains, but they are too small and too far from the wall, so light bleeds past them. 6. Broken handrail on the stairs makes it a dangerous climb. Dangerous! We checked out a day early because it was so awful. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The staff was very friendly but that certainly doesn't make up for the rest!
