Positives:
As always, the staff were very friendly and attentive. I forgot my swim suit and was resigned to stay out of the water, but after discussion with a staff member, I found a solution with the items I had.
Negatives:
My child and I have been staying at LaQuinta NW for almost 10 yrs. Every time we visit Portland, it's always been our first choice. This time, a couple things were less than satisfactory... my bed, for the first time ever at LaQuinta, was really uncomfortable. I could feel the springs! Next time I will ask for extra pillows and blankets. In the morning I went down for breakfast and there were no forks, odd that they didn't find a way to get some more.

I was staying at the same brand ( La Quinta) at Santa Rosa the night before that was quite new and clean.
I stayed in this hotel in Portland with the assumption that all La Quintas were the same but it was not unfortunately.
You need to be reassured before booking whether it’s a new building or not!!
