The fact that a member of staff the night manager and his buddies almost raped and killed me last night when I stayed there

On how clean it was
Noisy. Vehicle traffic limited to a narrow loop around the complex, with every vehicle passing closely to the room I was in all night long. Guests in adjacent room noisy until 4:00 am. Domestic conflicts in the parking lot. No sleep possible.
The hotel room was clean and pleasant. No carpets on the floor, but laminate flooring, which had a modern, fashionable feel and has the added benefit of not holding odors. The bed was comfortable and each of the staff members with whom I spoke and interacted was pleasant and greeted me with a smile.
I don't know a lot about Portland, but it seems like the area in which the hotel is located is a bit dodgy. I was surprised and a little concerned about young adult men loitering around in the parking lot as I was finding my room on my first afternoon. I parked my rental car in the lot and that was fine, but the sight of young men milling around at different places in the parking lot was a bit off-putting.
