Location was good, although there can be parking issues. I had an upgraded room with a kitchenette. Staff were great even allowing me to check out later than usual.

We had a suite with a kitchen and a view of Mt. St. Helens. Everything was clean, the kitchen was well-equipped (though we didn't need to use it), the suite was spacious, upholstered seating was comfortable but seemed a bit drab (my only criticism), bed was very comfortable. It seemed like they anticipated every need we might have -- very well-thought out and planned. The location cannot be beat. Free parking!!
Negatives:
The only thing I could possibly criticize was the upholstery fabric which seemed drab and dingy. The gray brown colors just aren't cheerful and end up looking dirty even though the cleanliness standards in our suite were so good, we were sure the furniture fabric was clean.

The location is great, close to groceries stores, it is very walkable to Downtown and many restaurants. The rooms are fine, good for the price. The staff is nice and welcoming.
Negatives:
I stayed at the old apartments, and they are a bit updated, they have that 'vintage motel' feel.

Positives:
Decent 5th floor room with a good view, comfortable beds. Wifi ok. Walking distance to restaurants.

Car parking had very tight spaces when we arrived and it was busy, but better the next day.

Positives:
Was greeted nicely. Finding the room was easy. Access to restaurants was easy and close. I've been to many hotels that had numerous problems with the key system, had no problem at this hotel. My dog needed walks and that was no problem.
Negatives:
The parking lot was an issue near the front door. Very steep and the spaces were small and hard to access. After checking in we needed to drive across the street to park by the room. Same problem congested parking area with small spaces. To be fair the entire town of Portland is poorly laid out with lots of traffic on steep streets.
Now the room. Room was very small, seams around the shower area were cracked and not recently resealed. It was easy to hear everything in the room above and adjoining rooms. The walls were very thin and not well insulated. There was a $100.00 dollar deposit at time of check in. Have not yet seen return of that deposit
