Positives:
The breakfast was excellent, and the location was easily accessible to the freeway, and the area was quieter than rooms on Market Street. The room amenities were very good -- large fridge, two-burner induction stovetop, plenty of blankets and pillows for the sofabed, table with two seats, etc. , though there was no chair for the "desk" type surface.
Negatives:
Everything was clean, but it's getting a bit tired. There is a sort of smell that is hard to describe -- common among older motels: not awful, just not fresh. If you travel a lot, you know what I mean. It is the main reason I rated this a 6 instead of higher.

Less than twelve hours before check in time I received an apologetic email that due to a "communication error between our system and sales, we have been overbooked and do not have a room available to check
you into.". Instead they checked me into a Doubletree, at their cost, which is unfinished, hideous, and currently has no internet whatsoever. Now it's too late to find someplace decent instead.
