The rooms were not updated, not cleaned as I found a bottle cap on the floor from previous guests, walls were dirty and needed to be repaired.

Positives:
Clean room. Breakfast was ok because I brought my own toppings for the waffles. (Berries and whipped cream). Too bad there were no other hot options. Coffee was good. Liked having a microwave and fridge. Had to chase down housekeeping carts for missing items.
Negatives:
It was my birthday weekend. I expected a hot tub and chose the hotel specifically because of it. I was told they were disappointed also and had just found out it needed a heater. I didn't believe them because the signs are old and wrinkled. Not a new event. Also, the fireplace was never turned on in the lobby so the ambiance was far less than the photos portrayed when booking. When I checked in after traveling nearly 7 hours, the GM was talking to her son about a car accident and road kill deer rather than waiting on us. We felt very unwelcome. Lastly, I asked for a new room and was told there were no options, so we were stuck across from the elevator and VERY loud guests until after 1 am. When I responded Day 1 to a text and said all of this, I was told I would be contacted. We were there 3 nights and heard nothing.

I didn't like how the hotel double charged me when I went to check out after changing my stay dates.
Positives:
Check in was nice and easy as well as the check out. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good. Location was good as well. We were visiting a local college our daughter has decided to attend. We will probably make this our go to place to stay if we have to spend a night because it's a great value.
Negatives:
Refrigerator was not very cold and had a musky spell. We didn't make a big deal cause we only stayed a night.
