This Downtown and centrally located Erie Motel is located 5 miles from Presque Isle State Park, 6 miles from Erie International Airport, 1 mile from the Waterfront Bayfront district, and within walking distance to many local museums, art galleries, shops, restaurants, bars, and attractions, as well as the Amtrak Train Station and several bus stops. This hotel was gutted out and remodeled and made into red roof. They did a horrible job. My room was a suite and was not clean what so ever. Soap scum all over ,red stuff on the walls..paint coming off. Missing drywall around the light switches just nasty

Negatives:
We arrived around 6pm and had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come to front desk to check us in. Once we were checked in we were given keys to a room that was already occupied. Yes, we went into a room with someone's luggage already there. Thank God they weren't in the room at the time. We then had to wait while this was getting fixed and finally got to our room. Of course I worried that someone might enter our room sometime during the night. I won't stay here again.

Decently comfortable bed, a little squeaky though. Pretty clean.

The door wasn't sealed well and the wind was blowing through. We had to put a towel under it to block the cold air. The kitchen has pans, but nothing else! No utensils, plates, or silverware.

There was a lot of traffic such that the outside was noisy and a lot of ambulance and police traffic. The area did not seem particularly safe.

Specious, clean and located in walking and cycling distance to Erie attractions we wanted to use. Staff was friendly and greeted us anytime we saw them.

Kitchenette was bare bones. Outlets were sorta like a garage. No plates, utensils, dish soap etc.
