Candlewood Suites is pet friendly! Pets weighing less than 80 pounds are welcome. Good location for our needs. But overall a disappointment.

We travel a lot; domestic and international. This is the first accommodation we have EVER stayed in that could not provide any ice. There are no common ice machines. The front desk told me that the refrigerator had an ice maker which it did not and even if it had, the water supply line was not connected. It was more than the inconvenience of a lack of beverage ice. I was in my second post-operative week after knee replacement and needed ice for wound management. The hotel could only offer condolences but no ice. Furthermore, my wife found a roach on the bathroom floor and the coffee maker had not been cleaned since the last guest. The coffee condiments were not enough for two people. The carpet in the room appeared to be quite dirty.

During my four-day stay, I never received maid service. When I inquired with the housekeeper on duty, she mentioned that my room wasn’t on her list but promised to investigate and have it added. I had also arranged for a late check-out on my final day, which was confirmed, yet I found myself locked out of my room. The front desk was unstaffed, but I eventually located a maintenance worker who helped me access my suitcases.
