`Under renovation. That was the excuse for no blanket on bed, no toiletries available, and filthy couch. Breakfast was unavailable. Unacceptable overall.

Hotel was advertised as having a swimming pool of which I called directly prior to arrival and was told it stayed open until 10pm.... but was closed when we arrived.. Also advertised rate including breakfast.... only to find out that the kitchen was under construction as well. NO NOTICE, NO verbal acknowledgement when calling directly. And NO sheets or extra pillow for pull out couch.

Negatives:
The hotel was under construction. Lots of construction workers walking around and using the elevators. We were told they closed the pool the day prior, even though my mother called the day before to check to see how late the pool stayed open. She was told 10pm not that the indoor pool was closed! The reason we chose this hotel was to swim in the pool for my daughters birthday. What a bummer. When asked about breakfast (which was an added price on booking.com) we were told the kitchen was under construction and they could offer oatmeal or a muffin. The minute I walked into my room, it smelled of smoke! And I booked a nonsmoking room. The papers on the desk inside the room said there was a big fee if someone smoked, there were no-smoking signs on most of the hotel doors, and in the hallways but was told later by the staff that all the rooms were smoking rooms so they couldnt refund me for that. What?! No way. I went back to check online and it clearly states that on their website the rooms are smoke free rooms. I was given the run around by the staff and booking.com, each one blaming the other and saying they couldnt do anything. Wouldnt refund my money or offer a credit. I didnt feel safe here, and definitely didnt want to force my family of six to have to smell smoke all night. I didnt want my clothes to smell of smoke the following day.

Did not have shampoo or conditioner for the shower. And grab and go breakfast was minimal. Lids did not even fit the coffee cups a day not enough covers on the bed.
