Very nice hotel in a...
Positives:
Check in was easy and a breeze. The onsite bar was great, the bartender was actually fairly amazing. I ordered a drink and 6 hours later came back and he remembered what I ordered previously. The hotel was overall clean and the location was extremely central to downtown. 10 minute walk to almost anything. Oh and a Trader Joes across the street and Reading Terminal Market 5 minute walk.
Negatives:
The staff was very poignant and not overly friendly, and this wasn't just with me (I did have an issue I was trying to resolve so I get a little of that with me), I had to sit for about 20 minutes to wait for a manager to assist me and I watched the customer interaction.
As soon as I walked in the room, my initial thought was, " oh, this is nice, " but then I went to the bathroom, and let's just say the toilet was not clean and leave it at that. I did check the rest of the room for cleanliness, and everything else looked clean enough, but cmon.
The staff - my biggest issue was a huge discrepancy between what I booked through Booking and had confirmed compared to what the hotel was charging me. They had me (and my co-worker) down for an additional night's stay. When I tried to show them the confirmation from booking and the total cost they wouldn't even look and told me I would have to take it up with Booking that there was nothing they could do. I was like...but look it's right here, nope, sorry we can't help you.
