Extended Stay America Suites - Providence - Warwick

Negatives: we stayed at the Warwick rhode island extended stay suite (located at, 245 W Natick Ave, Warwick, RI 2886, United States) for 2 nights and noticed a few problems. firstly, we checked in around 4pm on the first day, and then left later on and came back around 9pm. when we tried to go into the hotel using the side door and our key card, the door did not open and the light turned red. we tried again but it didn’t open. then we walked in the main entrance and used our key cards on our hotel room door. but the door didn’t open again and the light turned red. we tried this 2 more times. then we finally went to the front desk and we told them that our cards weren’t working and the lady working asked us what room we were stayed in. we replied with the room number, and then she took our cards and did something and then gave them back to us. she did not ask us for any identification at all. this is concerning to us as this can be a safety concern as we could’ve said any room number and got access to that room. then we used the key cards and got access to our rooms. the next day, we came back from our day of events and our room smelled like cigarettes. we both did not smoke any cigarettes so we were unsure why the room smelled like this. on the last day, one of us went to pack the car while the other stayed in the room to clean up. when one of us were coming back into the hotel, the side door did not work with our key cards again. the light turned red after swiping them. then they walked through the front entrance and tried the key card on the hotel room door and it did not work once again, and turned red. luckily one of us was still inside and let the other in. this was very inconvenient to us seeing our card didn’t work 2 times during our 2 night stay. it is also a huge safety concern that the lady at the front desk did not ID us before giving us card access to any room number that we told her that we were staying in i wanted to bring these big safety concerns.

Negatives: I don't like the bed springs causing a squeaky noise every time you sit/stand up. I did not like the stain on the comforter after still being washed. I was not pleased with the wall cover-ups from the previous damages. I admit this might not be a big deal to most people but I'm very straight-forward and I apologize. I prefer more than what I stayed in due to my cost of stay. Overall, everything was very good. And I'm grateful I had a place to stay!

Negatives: Black mold on bathroom ceiling Visible staining on bedskirt Chipping paint and scratched wood Dirty bathroom corners

Negatives: A/C stopped working and only blew out heat which made it very uncomfortable! Huge stain on floor by bed. Once room was paid for, they tried to charge my card next day for an extra $16.05? Not sure why but glad my bank declined it.
