Exceptional
Positives:
Breakfast was adequate -- eggs, sorta-sausage, diy waffles, kinda usual, nothing exceptional, but enough. Desk clerk reassigned our room without question (see issue below)
Negatives:
Our first room reeked of smelly dog. couldn't stand it. Got reassigned a room 2 floors away but still smelled like dog, just not as bad. Couldn't get the A/C cool enough. Could hear someone snoring through the walls over the A/C.
The lobby entrance is ridiculous -- small double doors, completely manual, so you have to bang your way through them with luggage. The hotel owns ONE luggage cart, which may or may not be available, but again you can barely get it through the manual doors.
ALL parking is on the other end of from the lobby -- you walk the length of the entire hotel from the lot to the lobby.

Very good
Positives:
Room was nice and comfortable and hotel was short drive to Charleston historic district. Staff were not the friendliest.
Negatives:
The shower was confusing to use so regulation of temperature was a problem. Of course the price of the room was high, but it reflected Charleston rates, I guess.

Very good
Positives:
It’s location to the city
Negatives:
Breakfast was subpar, microwaved eggs and sausage, how do I know this, because I saw it first hand. Selection of food was minimal. The floor had a film on it that made the sticky noise as you walked on it. 2 choices of cereal one available upon request? and one on the counter.
The room itself was pleasant, bathroom had a strange smell to it?
Not saying I wouldn’t stay here again but there are other choices in the area!

Negatives:
Everything was good until we seen roaches on are way out. Checking out. Might need to call for a better exterminator asap. Don't be cheap.
