I liked that it was a convenient location. I liked that we were in and out conveniently. It was mostly clean and everything was working (except fridge that we did not use, anyway). The parking accomodations were good.

A little more firmer bed would be nice. I think the other bed was better than the one that I was sleeping in. The dog next door was some noisy but was quiet other times. The room was clean just saw one medium size bug.

Nothing! Unsafe, no breakfast, bug infested room, the entire experience was a nightmare!
Negatives:
As I told the front desk when I checked out, I will never stay there again. Within 1 hour of checking in a large man pushed open my door and thankfully the two deadbolt kept him out and he did not return. I have videos of all the beatles and insects crawling on the walls and throughout the floor. Overall, an awful experience as the bed was terrible and I did not feel safe after having a stranger try to break in. In my opinion, this was a $35 room, but somehow I paid $108 for a trashed, insect infested unsafe room & broken furniture.

When I arrived on the property there were shady people hanging around the outside of the building when I went to check in the office reeked of weed and went into the room it smelled of it as well had multiple family members that booked for a family event but never stayed there did not feel safe and was concerned about leaving my car unattended over night one of my family members stayed at a truck stop for the night

The place was nasty. We spilled some water on the floor and when we cleaned it up we saw the floor were nasty and had not been mopped. The walls had some kind of nasty stuff on them. People were hanging out on the stairs doing/selling drugs. The whole placed smelled of cigarette smoke even though our room was suppose to be non-smoking. The front desk person was rude. I could continue, but I believe I have painted a picture of how bad this place was.

Subject: Complaint Regarding Unacceptable Stay at West Ashley Inn
Dear ashley inn ,
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction following my recent stay at your establishment, the West Ashley Inn. Unfortunately, the experience fell far below acceptable standards of hygiene and quality that one would expect from a hotel.
Upon arrival, we were met with a room in clearly unsanitary condition:
The room had a strong, lingering smell of cigarette smoke, which was both unpleasant and disrespectful to non-smokers.
We found cockroaches in the room, a clear sign of poor sanitary management.
The bed sheets were stained, with some even having cigarette burn holes.
A piece of chewing gum was stuck to the wall, and a beer can had been left in the toilet — clear evidence of negligent, if not nonexistent, cleaning.
The pool was visibly dirty and appeared to be poorly maintained.
Our room key card kept getting demagnetized, which caused constant inconvenience.
Finally, although the room was booked for four people, we were only provided with two towels — which is simply unacceptable.
It is inexcusable to offer this level of service, which damages both your hotel’s reputation and the overall experience of your guests.
I am therefore requesting a commercial gesture that reflects the inconvenience we endured Such as a refund, and I expect a prompt and professional response from your team.
