I didn’t like this property. I paid online and then was told I needed a cash deposit and I wasn’t told this when I initially paid for the hotel. I don’t carry cash so I asked for a refund and was told to go through booking. Then booking tells me the hotel won’t refund me.

I used to stay here a good bit but the last two times, they’ve been infested with roaches & this last time was the worst. Checked in & room 123 was okay until I had to go see a family member and when I came back there was roaches crawling out of the baseboards and from under the bed, the lady switched me to another room & it also had roaches, & the people next door were arguing (sounded like) so loud. So I went back to the front she then got an attitude and tried to give me my money back, I explained to her that I do not have a car to go elsewhere so she gave me a room in the first building 106, it was much cleaner so I started to get settled in, 2 mins later the lady knocks on the door with her “manager” otp telling me I have to get out I can’t stay here bc they switched my room twice and all the rooms have roaches so I won’t be okay with that room either, I told him it was much better I wasn’t trying to be difficult & I don’t have a car he told me to go to the hotel across the street.

We had a long drive to the beach and decided last minute to stop in Sumter to spend the night. We were thankful to find a pet friendly place that accepted a large dog, and they didn't charge a pet fee. The room was clean, simple, with a comfortable bed, and quiet despite being close to the highway. Amenities were minimal but shouldn't be expected considering the price. Overall, a positive experience.
