Sleep Inn & Suites Smyrna

Negatives: The door to our room looked as if it were once repaired or broken into - one could see a slight space between the door and the jamb. I made sure it was securely locked, and reported it to the staff showing them a picture. They offered for us to move, but we declined. The surrounding area of the hotel seemed a safe location.

Negatives: Rugs——- both in room and hallways; needed to be cleaned and/or replaced

Negatives: I honestly don't have any complaints about this location!

Negatives: Cable sucked kept flashing in and out, had to call down twice to get it fixed and watchable. The indoor heated pool was being repainted and not useable, understand things need updated etc but inconsistent, I was looking forward to the pool, in fact was the biggest reason I chose that hotel and not the nicer one across the street.

Negatives: Hallway smells so strong of cleaner, it made my asthma act up, back door at the back of the building stayed open all night, and the lady working the front desk at check in was rude when I expressed my concerns. They did not inform me the pool was broke. When I told them that we were staying because my son had an appointment at Vanderbilt for autism testing, the pool was the reason we were staying there, aside from the location, so he could relax and have fun since he was so nervous. I asked them if I could be upgraded for the same price to just have a little bit of a bigger room, the lady agreed and said she would need to look to see if one was available, I told her it showed online that there was some available, then she got a hateful attitude and said “nooope. I won’t upgrade” Okay that’s fine. I’ll deal with it. The room was not clean clean. The shampoo bottle was 3/4 of the way gone. There was silly string on the ceiling. And the sheet on one bed was dirty. We checked out with a really nice gentleman.

Negatives: The eggs at breakfast were not good- gritty texture.
