Austin Southpark Hotel

Negatives: room was extrimily dirty with a lot of dust which made impossible for me to sleep with allergies, and also there was a dead roach on the room floor.

Negatives: The shower was clogged paint chipping all off the bathroom ice machine out and we where in the 7th floor and have to go to front desk for ice

Negatives: The hotel is completely outdated. It says it is a 4 star hotel, when in reality it is probably more like a 2 star hotel at this point. They are renovating the hotel, but do not indicate this when booking, which means that you have to deal with construction noise from 7am-7pm. The lobby was nice, but as soon as we got off the elevator, you could smell the old cigarette smell from the 80s. The room was no better with the smell or decor. The wallpaper was peeling, the bathroom is not up-to-date and DEFINITELY not okay for handicap people. I was traveling with my elderly father and he could not shower in the two days we were at the hotel, because he was afraid of falling in the shower. When I asked about a handicap room, they told me they didn't have handicap options. I assume this is something they will be doing in their upgrades. The sheets were a bit dirty and the mattresses need updating. Additionally, there are stains on the furniture, the curtains didn't work well, and no upgraded plugs for electronics like you see in all hotels these days. I know they are working on this, but it would have been nice to know this PRIOR to booking the hotel. They really shouldn't be booking the hotel if they are doing this upgrade at the same time. As a Hilton affiliate, they can afford to close for a month or however long it takes to make guests feel comfortable. We did not eat at the hotel, so I have no idea whether the food or coffee was any good.

Negatives: You advertise such a nice pool, and that's why we booked this hotel. Once we check in, we are told the heater is broken on the pool. So that was a big disappointment.

Negatives: the room smell, the heater in room did not work, no free breakfast

Negatives: waited for s long time checking in. Front desk was not there

Negatives: Shower drained very slow, breakfast not included and no microwave and fridge wasn't keeping items cold much less freezing.

Negatives: Privacy in Question Becauae there is a hole in each door about three feet from the floor two feet below the peep hole in the door. I placed a tissue into tje hole and forgot about it until it was pushed in three times. Bizarre?

Negatives: The room furnishings are very dated and now I good condition. Dramatic contrast to the feel you get from the lobby, which is very nicely appointed and then you get to your room which is quite different.
