Positives:
Location terrific. Staff friendly. Beautiful outdoor pool. Fantastic top-rated Kristin Kish restaurant. Good lobby coffee bar. The bathroom was well-lit and shower pressure terrific.
Negatives:
For the price, the facility was rundown. Could use a facelift. My carpet had stains on it.
For us older people, a hand-held shower would be a huge advantage, as we needn’t wash our hair everyday yet the temps in Austin caused sweat & grime; a good lower-body shower could be very useful.

Hotel was rated as 4 star but it felt like a 3 star at best. Did not seem clean, there was very little furniture in the room and bed was on the floor. Cheap tv. The room’s ac was set at 68 degrees but never felt cool.

I loved the pool and the great tacos and food places right outside that were literally right on the property and the bar on the rooftop to see bats was amazing!

The only thing we had issues with was our key cards, for some reason it had automatically turned off and we went to the front desk. They told us it was fine and good to go, but when we had gotten back to our room, the key cards were still not working so then we decided to go get food and when we came back, the card started working.

The room was spacious and very well soundproofed, which made for a quiet and comfortable stay. The location is excellent — right in the heart of the city — and the restaurant in the hotel was a very pleasant surprise, with good food, atmosphere and staff.
Very good valet staff - very thoughtful and helpful with a little kid in our hands!
Negatives:
Unfortunately, the bathroom was a real drawback: there was no proper lighting (only an additional dim vanity light provided) and the ventilation wasn’t working well. What disappointed us most, however, was the service. Despite booking a room for three people, only two towels were provided, and when we requested more, they were simply dropped on the floor at the door. Similarly, when we asked for silverware, only one set was given for the three of us. Traveling with a two-year-old, we would have appreciated a bit more attention and care from the staff.
We also paid for amenities including the pool, but only towels were provided. A robe and slippers would have been appreciated, especially since the outdoor floor gets extremely hot in the Austin heat. On top of that, the pool area wasn’t very well maintained, with bird droppings on the floor that made it uncomfortable to walk around.
With some improvements in service, amenities, and cleanliness, this hotel could easily earn a higher rating, as the location and comfort are otherwise very good.

Positives:
The Line is a nice hotel from the moment we walked in. The elevators were small but they worked and were a cute color of Pink. The coffee shop was a nice touch in the mornings and the hotel was close to walk to the see the bats under the bridge and only a couple blocks in walking distance to 6th street. We did walk to Congress avenue for shopping which was a little bit of a walk but not bad. I would stay here again.

Our chair was broken in our room. The rooms are dark and the lighting is tacky with the chain hanging. Beds are extremely low to the ground and the bathroom has no fan.

Location. Overall room comfort. Staff was amazing from day 1. Pool was perfect. Food options and drinks were 10/10.

No smart tv. It’s 2025 and there was a basic 32” tv.

The hotel was in a great location, the room was wonderful and had a view of the bats. The restaurant was awesome and we had a great server who was amazing! I highly recommend this hotel for business or fun!
