That we were only there for 7 hours because we traveled on a charter bus to a play-off football game that was 4 hours away. My husband is the receivers coach and the Head Track Coach at Smithson Valley High School.I wish we had received a discount.

The wonderful front desk staff set the tone for our short stay. They were so friendly and helpful, offering us complimentary water on a very hot Texas day.
The hotel is easy to find, spacious, clean and plentiful parking. The room was very comfortable and we had a nice view from the window.
And my daughter was so happy to discover the Texas-shaped waffle maker at breakfast; thank you for that bit of fun!

It is quite high priced for other similar hotels, I only picked because of location since I was there for a funeral.

Positives:
The entire staff was very professional, helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable with quiet closing doors, the soundproofing of the rooms, even the excellent smelling hand soaps, allowing us to relax and get well rested.
Negatives:
I would only try to give the cleaning staff the time to routinely deep clean the bathroom shower doors and sink area. It’s the first area in a hotel that starts falling into disrepair or neglected looking.

The free breakfast was a plus, even though it wasn't that great. The bed was comfortable. The room was quiet and clean.
Negatives:
I was disappointed with the breakfast as the main egg course was a southwest omelet which had items I do not like, i.e. green and red peppers; and they only had one meat (sausage) instead of two.
The toilet in my room would not flush, had to fill the ice bucket with water and empty it into the bowl. This was on the morning of checkout. I didn't contact staff as toilet flushed afterwards, it was just that one time.
