Everything was great, BUT… on gameday in Aggieland, the Canteen should be better prepared to handle the people there to watch the game. For example, there should be extra TVs , maybe a portable projector and screen that can be setup on saturdays if management doesn’t want to make permanent design changes. At kickoff we were still asking to get the game out on the screen in the big room, and there is a time lag between the tvs to where one side of the canteen is about 45 seconds ahead of the main room. And the audio is on the ahead side so it’s not ideal for the rest of the people watching on the other side . Basically, Cavalry should step up their game so to speak on gameday!

Found blood stains on my sheets, room was not dark at night and light was coming through the windows and under the door, and it seemed like a less clean version of a best western with a few additional amenities that way increases the price. The water in the fridge was half empty and not new and the salsa container was half eaten. I felt pretty gross with the level of cleanliness and had trouble falling asleep.

The property is beautifully landscaped with a pleasant pool, cabanas, table tennis, bandstand and other amenities. The bar and restaurant, the Canteen, serves delicious barsnacks and appetizers as well as a few mains. The location in Century Square provides easy access to a variety of restaurants, coffee shops, and upscale shops. It is also convenient to Texas A&M campus and Northgate student-centered entertainment district.

Only one free beer when you check in.

Positives:
The room was comfortable, with a generously stocked (and very large) refrigerator and snack tray (items available for purchase). The hotel location was great, adjoining a nice outdoor shopping area and across the street from the Texas A&M campus. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful! We did not go swimming, but the pool and surrounding courtyard appeared inviting, well maintained, and clean.
Negatives:
The room's balcony was large enough for two chairs and a table, but only one chair (a rocker, which was a nice touch) was on the balcony. Hard to enjoy coffee in the morning on the balcony with your spouse with just one chair! We attempted to have breakfast at the restaurant, but although it was set up buffet style, it seemed understaffed. The available tables all needed cleaning, and we noticed that there was only one plate, and it was not clean, available at the start of the buffet line. We waited for a bit, but ended up going somewhere else for breakfast. Too bad, because the buffet looked and smelled good otherwise!
