The hotel was clean and pleasant. The room was huge and very nice. Loved the large bathroom.

We arrived and I guess due to us being a 3rd party reservation, even though I had chose the option to pay when we arrived, they tried to pre run my card I put on file and because it didnt go through, they canceled my room. Luckily we arrived I guess not long after they did this and so they were able to reinstate my room. The front desk clerk was kind of snarky, saying for future reference you might want to make sure you put a card on that will authorize. I didnt mind him letting us know that this hotel does this, but it was his tone, like we were such an inconveniance to deal with since he had to go through the extra steps of getting our reservation back in the system. I worked at a hotel for almost 10yrs and would never dream of speaking to a customer like that. There is a polite way to let a guest know what your policy is for 3rd party reservations and running cards the day of arrival but speaking to them like they are children is not it!!! Im not sure what we would have done had the room already been sold. We got no call from the hotel or message from the hotel that the room had been canceled either. That same night apparently the breaker got thrown twice, and from what we could tell looking in the hall it was just our room. 1st time, it took the clerk quite a bit to finally come up and fix it. The 2nd time was in the middle of the night when our fan went off, was the only reason we knew. clerk wanted to say due to us having the fan plugged in, we had caused it to happen. The rest of the stay was nice. Breakfast didnt offer much but it was enough for a small bite.

Did not discuss parking fees with me and charged my card without authorization. The pool had rocks at the bottom, and my daughter now has scratches and wounds on her foot; 6 in total from one incident.
