The swimming pool was not operational. The room wasn’t bad, but the walls could be cleaned better. I found blood on the wall next to the door.

It was clean, and you could tell that some of the issues ( roofing debris in the parking lot, noise, a few unfinished details in the room, etc.) were due to the fact that there was a renovation or work being done. The location was convenient, obviously why we booked there.
Negatives:
The staff hardly looked up and didn't engage in any smiling, welcoming conversation or behavior. I don't need people fawning over me, but a "we're glad to have you" or "how are you doing" wouldn't be out of line. Also, I believe in trying to be conservative in waste and consumption, but leaving opened and partially used supplies like lotion and shampoo is not very sanitary or attractive. I hands never experienced that.
