Positives: None. The only person in that hotel I would give positive feedback to is the young valet man who wore eyeglasses and worked in the morning. He was always in good spirits and always ready to assist you. We gave him a great tip as he deserves it.
Negatives: On my initial evening at the Aloft, I experienced an incident at the hotel's entrance. I tripped and fell, overlooking the step leading down from the uniquely shaped crescent area cement in front of the hotel towards the street unloading zone. During the afternoon shift, the front desk staff could not locate the first aid supplies, prompting me to request the hotel manager's intervention to address the situation. I sustained a bruised knee and bleeding, along with cuts and bruises on my arm and hand. Fortunately, my husband and a friend, both physicians, provided me with medical care. Despite the potential for escalation, I chose not to escalate the issue to avoid spoiling my El Paso trip. Surprisingly, there was no follow-up apology or inquiry from the staff about my well-being. Astonishingly, the staff members on duty that night failed to report the incident. I requested a quieter room away from the elevator, but I ended up with a room just a few steps from it, and there was construction noise during the first two nights. Despite having a Platinum Amex card that entitles me to a complimentary upgrade, no upgrades where available and was told my room was the best. If my room was the best, just below the suites, I shudder to think what a standard room would be like. The hotel offers no amenities, except for a pricey bar. While most staff members are polite, they seem unaware of the hotel's surroundings. They can't seem to provide recommnedation and gives you the look of incompetence. The presence of homeless individuals and beggars in front of the hotel throughout the night was unsettling. Guests would look for their keys while a homeless person rummaging through the trash. Meanwhile, the front desk and valet watch you through the glass doors on the chairs in front of the entrance instead of helping you.

Positives: Very clean, spacious room. Comfortable bed, big shower. Location right in downtown El Paso near restaurants, the baseball stadium and shops. We loved the Art Deco Design of the historic building.
Negatives: The hotel's own valet parking is around $20 per night and street parking is limited to two hours, and beware that the parking meter takes your money even at night before payment starts at 8 a.m. so you cannot prepay for the morning upon arrival. Not the hotel's fault, but worth mentioning for future travelers.

Positives: Such a cool building. I remember this old building in El Paso and to see it reimagined into these cool hotel rooms was so fun!
Negatives: No coffee in the morning but they brewed us a pot! Breakfast was not included and we had just gotten back from traveling Asia for a month and all the hotels include breakfast so that was the only thing that did not meet my expectations.

Positives: Beautiful old building and very accommodating staff.
Negatives: It is a typical cheaper chain hotel, which does not have a lot of amenities. Like a nice breakfast area, restaurant etc.. Rooms were a bit basic/spartan. To that extend the pricing was too high.
