This hotel was 6 minutes away from the Southwestern campus. I was in town visiting my daughter for the weekend and this location was very convenient. Overall, it served a purpose and me and my family felt safe.
Negatives:
The online pictures are very misleading. The first thing I noticed was the 1970's model couch that was in the room. Looks like something they picked up at a yard sale. The smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling by the wires. The pillows did not have any protective covers on them and were covered in stains.

Very close to my event, within walking distance. Management allowed me to park my car there for the day even after checking out for a small fee … much cheaper and closer than any other parking for the event

We had to pay a premium because of the eclipse... so maybe our expectations were too high.
Found a dead roach on the first night;
Room door did not close properly so bugs crawled in under the door jam (which was missing).
Room was dark and dim (dim low watt lights).
Lots of damage to nearly all furniture.
Could not hear TV over noise of AC.
Dirt in corners -- especially shower/toilet area.
"complimentary continental breakfast" consited of milk, cereal, juice, and coffee that ran out
pool/garden area was not mowed or very neat
