The room was dirty and had obviously not been cleaned very well. The booking cited that there would be WiFi, however the WiFi did not work the entire time I was there. I was there for work and needed WiFi. The staff were not helpful when I asked about the WiFi not working.

The breakfast was a big hit for us and our 3 kids.

The wallpaper in the hallways was peeling off in many places near the pool, the pool was only 3ft deep, the bathroom in the bedroom had paint peeling in the corners and the faucets had built up hard water, we had broken tiles in our room and there was so much dust on the walls and the end table. We also had a weird nasty stain on the purple chair as well as on the curtains. I worked at a hotel as a housekeeper for many years and the upkeep of these rooms were absolutely terrible.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was quiet. The young lady at the front desk was very professional.
Negatives:
The front walk into the hotel was covered with bird droppings and had not been cleaned off on a regular basis. The hotel does take pets which is great. However, when leaving the next morning I was walking from the breakfast area towards the front desk. I looked at the windows at the south end of the hall and they were very dirty. I do understand it is not an easy task to keep windows clean on the outside with Lubbock being in the high plains. But what got my attention was how dirty the tile floor was and how much dog fur there was along the baseboards. To be sure the floors had not been swept or mopped in days.
The hotel needs to secure the areas outside so that the birds cannot roost over the entrance of the hotel and down the sidewalk. As to the lobby floor, it needs to be swept and mopped every night after 11 pm, or at least sometime during the day.

The receptionist was bad, she took for ever to check me in, I came in at 3pm and end up getting in at 6.

I actually killed a cockroach on my nightstand.
I could hear the water rushing down the pipes each time someone above me flushed the toilet throughout the nigh.
The hall and room carpets had multiple of dark and dirty stains
