The guy that check us in was rude as all get out. Our remote wouldn’t work. When we called, they said they didn’t have another one. When I finally walked down to the desk, they pulled a remote right out of the drawer. None of the ice machines worked. Worst experience ever! Paid $30 for parking, and no where to park.

Positives:
Perfect location for central San Antonio, smart looking facade and reception. Rooms smartly designed and equipped with coffee machine, fridge and microwave.
Beds comfortable and plenty of towels.
Pleasant courtyard area with pool

Bathroom showed its age, ingrained dirt and rusty doorstop spoiled the feeling of quality.
Windows are sealed and air conditioning is not adequate, we stayed in April and only had one hot and sultry day, which was fortunate.
Breakfast served until 9am, a bit early for a holiday, but ok if you’re there for work. The breakfast was limited, even for American tastes I think. If you want waffles with syrup then you’re fine. For our first breakfast they ran out of milk so removed all the cereals, there was no fruit or yoghurts out either. This was rectified for the other two mornings, although the coffee was low by 8.45 and there was no one interested in refilling this when asked.
Parking was extortionate at $28 a day, you can park on a lot 3 mins walk away for $5 for 24 hours.
Don’t get persuaded to attend one of their sales events, unless you want to holiday in USA, as European options limited for those of us from Europe and the UK. We were only in San Antonio for 3 nights and I few as though we wasted a morning on this.
Reception uninterested when we had trouble with our door key, but a fantastic‘handyman’ solved the problem (he earned them an extra star)
Personal gripe coming up …. It maybe generally accepted that breakfast is eaten from disposable plates with plastic cutlery, I’m not a ‘Green crusader’ but surely this can’t be cost effective or good for the environment!
