The size of our room. Too much furniture in that tiny room. Wish I had known that room was going to be so small. I would have booked a different room!

Location is perfect and easy to locate if youre walking around the city and a little lost since its so tall, and the history of the building is really cool. Its directly next to the Alamo and a very short walk over to the River walk.
Negatives:
Room was a bit small and the staff was really nice, but gave no info upon check-in like you usually get (like amenities they offer and hours) and there wasnt a little flier in the room with that info anywhere. Plus it isnt the best parking situation.

1- Bed was thin mattress and lumpy in spots.
2- AC was not working in our room upon our return to our room at midnight. The staff brought fans and told us theyd fix it in the morning.
3- The bar in the lobby closed early too, not convenient when wed already taken an Uber to get back to hotel.

Went to Emily Morgan for the October 13th weekend and solar eclipse. The hotel was one of the best parts of our vacation. I loved how the hotel fully leaned in to the seasonal theme. Enjoyed the history, staff was hospitable, the stay felt very special.
