Room was not vacuumed. Stains on the sheets. Beds were uncomfortable. Room was set up in a bad way - hard to see the TV from the beds. Only 2 towels provided for 5 people. Housekeeping did not come during our stay. Breakfast was not served hot. Breads/bakery goods were stale. Fruit was not fresh. Juice tasted bad. Bought a soda from the front desk and it was flat. Rooms need paint. Carpet was torn. No fan in bathroom. Had a cockroach and water bugs in the room. Something crawled across my daughters face while we were sleeping.

For our purposes, to visit Texas State University and the Christmas Festival, it was great! Close to shopping, and restaurants, which is a plus (walking distance). Room was comfortable, very roomy (a good size room for our family) and it had all the necessities we needed for a relaxing stay. Hotel was clean, nice, and again, it had great accommodations for a good stay (our room had a full working kitchen, and it came in handy). Breakfast was good and warranted after a full night, fitness room was clean, updated and nice. Additionally, we did not use, yet the hotel has a basketball court, grilling stations and a pool (as weather was cooler during our visit). I must say that the personnel were friendly and helpful, and kept their professional composure, even though it was a busy weekend due to the university graduations, local conferences and the Christmas festival. It could have been very hectic and unorganized, but it was not. We plan to use this hotel again, when we return. Definitely recommend!

Personally, one ply toilet paper, not a fan. Also, we visited when it was really busy due to the graduations, so there were many people, and one of the elevators was out of order, this made it a bit slow in some areas, Also, there was a strong odor, OUTSIDE of the building, and it turned out to be a factory, behind the building per the hotel representative. It had a really foul smell (sewer smell), but it did not affect the inside of building, unless the doors remained open for too long. But everything else was great!
