Positives:
The staff was exceptional! I was expecting a late arrival but then it turned out to be even later than anticipated. When I called the woman I spoke with was very kind and helpful and noted it in my account. When I finally did arrive - very late - the man at the desk was quick and helpful. He even noted that I had a lot of luggage and moved my room to the main floor.
Negatives:
The place needs a coat of paint and I just don't like hard floors in hotels. It seems to make the room more echo-ey than I prefer. That being said - it was obvious that the owners are working on fixing it up. It seemed as though they were upgrading choice items at a time. It was quality where it counted.

The AC worked really well.

The room had an odd smell and showed quite a bit of wear. The exterior doors were not secure (looked like the had been pried open). A lot of shady looking characters staying there. Was waiting to wake up to a party or fighting or a broken into car. Thankfully none of that happened. The pine air freshener in the hall went off every time someone walked by and it was overpowering. They need to get rid of the vending machines if the guy that owns them doesn't want to clearly mark the prices (they were way overpriced anyway).

I liked that it was very close to lots of different activities and shopping centers along with restaurants.
Negatives:
I didn’t like that the upstairs smelt like smoke. It’s pretty run down on the outside and some of the people it attracted weren’t the best and being a female while I was walking lots of them were yelling at me and trying to get me to talk to them while they were drinking outside. I wouldn’t stay here again for that reason.
