Quality Inn Vernal near Dinosaur National Monument

Negatives: We had some things, the fan in the bathroom didn't work.The phone didn't work when we tried to call to check out. The room had an odd smell. The pool/hot tub didn't entice us at all, even though I booked the facility for that option. The facility is dated for sure. They have put lipstick on it, but its time for a building overhaul. The price was right so we were happy overall. Vernal in general was a nice time. We didn't enjoy the bar being attached, it made for a lot of noise late at night. We ate at the restaurant which was a nice option when we arrived late to the hotel. It wasn't amazing food(don't get the creme brulee) but very family friendly and the service was fast. We didn't eat breakfast either morning at the hotel. They were out of things and not a lot of good options that were not dry bread. The coffee was out also on a Saturday morning. No staff around sticking breakfast items. We feel like we got the bare minimum for what we paid for, a clean place to lay our heads.

Negatives: Hotel interior was dated and tired. The room faced a busy highway and stoplight intersection. Heavy truck traffic was very noisy. The hotel is located at the opposite end of town from the direction to Dinosaur National Monument so you have to drive for an extra 2-3 miles each way to the park. Breakfast was spartan.

Negatives: Checking in we felt that the clerk was unfriendly. The list of rules for our dog, was pretty long. In the room everything was very dated. The lamp shade on the desk had stains and holes in it. Everything just seemed like it was very old. The next night we stayed in a hotel (with our dog) and it was new, clean and so much more inviting. So it wasn't just because we had a dog.

Negatives: The breakfast was free but there wasn't much there.

Negatives: My room was on the highway side so somewhat noisy. Could ask for a backside room.

Negatives: Our room smelt very, very bad. Every time we left and came back the smell hit us like a wall. The TV wouldn't work and we had to call down to get it working. The staff that came to fix it was nice but they should have smelt the room and offered another room. Whomever is in charge of quality control of the rooms needs more training. And the pool was closed. We will not be returning to this is hotel.

Negatives: I thought they might have Chadonnay in the room. Ha!
