The resort and "research" fees should've been part of the total I paid at the time of booking instead of being tacked on during checkout

We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was large and we appreciated the gas fire stove. The coffee table has many scratches and was in poor condition (for being in a luxury suite) and can be spruced up or replaced.
Negatives:
When we arrived at 3:30 pm, we were told that our room was clean but needed a final inspection. We realize that check-in time is 4:00 pm, but usually a hotel will let you enter early if the room is clean and available.

Only downside was that the restaurant wasnt open but they offered a list of local alternatives and it gave us the opportunity to explore the local area.
