Positives:
Loved our big comfy bed. The balcony was a plus! Liked the free candy and water bottles. Liked the gym. Front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. Cleaning staff did a great job ?. We also utilized the front courtyard, hung out in the lobby/library. Loved the decor.

A plus plus at the Archer.

Weird smells
Positives:
Close to the heart of Old Town Alexandria.
Front desk staff was friendly, professional, efficient.
Diner attached to hotel is fabulous, with great customer service that you don’t find in the DC metro area, and great food.
Negatives:
Valet parking is necessary in this high-density area, but it’s also $40/night! A valet is never around when ypu need the, They’re understaffed or pr something, but I always had to ask front desk staff to call a valet.
Review
Good, but not yet great, esp formthe money.
Positives:
We fled to the archer after a previous accommodation had been smelly and had bugs in the room, so the Archer was a welcome treat. The staff were friendly and kind, the room was lovely, and the location was excellent. If you are looking to stay right in Alexandria, I would absolutely recommend this.
Negatives:
The smells the pump into the lobby can be a little aggressive at times, but other than that it was great.

Positives:
very pleasant staff.......excellent bed.....quiet.....30 minute pleasant walk to the river.
good size, attractive bathroom. attractive common area.
Negatives:
corner room was decent size, but no space for a chair/sofa to sit in.......very small chair at desk was designed for midgets.
the rooms come in different shapes and sizes.....and prices

ok.....but be careful what room you take.

Good stay, hotel was fine, parking was to much.
Positives:
Location was great
Negatives:
Everything was nice and clean. Disappointed dining area was closed. They had muffins and some pastries on a table. There were no napkins or paper plates available so I asked staff member about it and he brought small napkins to the table and that was it. Took the muffin upstairs to the room and crumbs got all over the floor since plates were not available. TV remote didn’t work, asked for another and that one didn’t work so I gave up and watched something on my phone.

It was fine
Positives:
Boutique hotels are the best, they even had record players in the library..quiet and smack in the middle of Old Town. Very satisfied and will come again.
Negatives:
Price for Parking. The area is short in places to park, It adds up at 40 a night with a long stay.

Great location. Beautifully appointed hotel. Wonderful courtyard.
Positives:
Fantastic stay. This is a charming hotel with a central location close to plenty of restaurants and the metro station. Our room was very spacious and clean. Staff was more than courteous to us. I’ll stay here again! Thanks.
Negatives:
Nothing.

Five star experience!
Positives:
Location
Negatives:
The 11 PM fire alarm and zero communication from the staff.
LIKE nothing except for one lung woman after an hour who simply asked if each person wanted earplugs.
It's extremely irresponsible for there to be 0 communication -thankfully there was not a fire. But no-one directed guests at any point other than to tell them they couldn't come back in yet. There were a number of elderly guests - no one helped them. I personally helped one down the 5 flights of stairs.

No thank you
Negatives:
House keeping walking in at 10am when check out is 11am
Review
Positives:
Enjoyed the location of the hotel being close to public transportation and far enough from Old Town to be quiet but close enough to walk a few blocks to things to see. Restaurant on premise is small, intimate and quiet compared to other options in town.
Negatives:
Advertising of complimentary coffee in the lobby would have been helpful. However, nearby cafes made it easy to get to some breakfast options if need be.

Spa being closed
