The staff made this years Katsucon one to remember. My dad and I have been staying at this hotel for the past six years. It's convenient to gaylord, has breakfast, and is our go to location when in the area.
While the hotel itself is a pretty typical hotel with the usual amenities, The staff made this years booking amazing. I asked for a special addition to our room in order to surprise my father for our annual father/daughter trip to katsucon. The staff went over and beyond what was asked for. My father and I left with smiles, good sleep, and yet another pleasant memory of our favorite convention.
Negatives:
New paid parking; I was surprised to see that the hotel now charged for parking. It isn't a new thing for hotels in the area. It was just new for this particular hotel.
Hotel Prices raised; Understandable due to the area's growth. It's just getting a bit high.
The negatives do not change my overall opinion on the hotel. But it does add a new money factor into our stay for next year. We find this hotel to be somewhat cheaper than the others during the convention. However, paying for parking at both the hotel and the convention, plus gas and travel conveniences, will have to be factored into the overall price difference vs paying for convenience between hotel locations.
It is still a great place to stay for the con, though!!! And we do plan to use this hotel in the future as our favorite option.

I didn't like anything about this hotel. The staff was horrendous, theft in paid parking lot tamper, and plumbing issues within property. The manager was the WORST
Negatives:
Everything is wrong with this place. $10 to park, and get your tires/wheels stolen, or car broken into by the homeless encampment next door, management sucks, plumbing issues, staff not nice, breakfast was a joke, dirty, poor/dead landscaping outside, high price because they think they're 5star. Caters to bus tour groups who won't complain about issues or rates.
They do not refund the deposits they take at check in, yet claim they do
