Lobby had recently been renovated.
Negatives:
Hotel "lost" our reservation. We made the reservation over five months in advance. When we arrived, they couldn't find our reservation in the system and were very unhelpful in solving the problem. Ultimately, it was the hotel's fault, since the reservation was confirmed by AAA Travel/Booking.com and sent to the hotel. The hotel's excuse was that their name/brand had changed twice in the last six months and that some reservations had not been transferred over in the system. I find this hard to believe since when I booked the hotel five months ago, it specifically said that it was a Hilton Garden Inn. I specifically chose this hotel based on its name brand and compelling price. After almost two hours of speaking with customer service and the hotel staff, ultimately I never received a room from this hotel and was extremely frustrated when this was at no fault of my own. Strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. The staff mentioned that they have problems like this "all the time" which is very troubling.

Terrible staff and management who deliberately delete reservations in order resell the rooms at a higher price.
